Roger Federer makes mention of the added control in string technology

I wanted to share a few things that I heard during a conversation on day 1 of the 2012 Wimbledon Championships with Bill Macatee at a Primetime Wimbledon Interview, Roger Federer made mention of how a few changes have taken place over the years at the All England Club.  Along with the surface changes and a 'better' grass, style of play changing somewhat away from the great serve and volley style to the changing of the tennis strings.  Roger made mention of how the strings have changed and the ball is easier to control.  The fact that 90 percent of tour players are using some type of polyester based string is evidence that this type of string does seem to allow players to control the ball more....

After his 6-1.6-1,6-1 victory Roger seems to have a realistic yet hopeful outlook on making this his 7th championship.  He seems to enjoy were he is at in his tennis career, savors the moments here at Wimbledon and is enjoying being a family man and a tennis fan.
