Q: As a beginning racket stringer should I be using a one-piece or a two-piece stringing technique?
A: It all depends. A one-piece or two-piece can be used. If you are creating a hybrid than you will automatically be creating a two-piece string job by default. Because some rackets when strung end the main strings at the throat, you would need to create a 'around-the-world' string technique in order to use a 'best practices' approach because you always string a racket top-down due to stress considerations. If you are not comfortable stringing 'around-the-world' , than I would suggest a two-piece approach. It should be noted that there are advantages and disadvantages to both. More on this tomorrow...
