Buy American - a new tennis string to add to your hybrid arsenal

Choosing a tennis string today can be a complex and daunting task due to the large number of companies producing tennis strings today.  There is one company that produces strings in the US and it has been doing so from its Rhode Island facility since 1949.  Ashaway has a history of developming world class racket strings for tennis, squash, racquetball and badminton sports.  Along with high quality and patent technology in sports, Ashaway has a long history of developing braided nylon and polyester based string for textile and other industries.

Ashaway has just added another string to their Crossfire series of hybrid strings.  Crossfire is known for durability due to the Aramid conststruction.  You might not have heard about Aramid but might be familiar with the term Kevlar.  These are the toughest of strings and not always the most forgiving but if you need durability that surpasses that of most polyester strings than this would be the next thing to try.  The new string is called the 'Crossfire Plus Hybrid' and offers a thinner 17g braided Aramid string for the mains and a synthetic gut with durability protection for the crosses.  The Aramid braided tecture is softened by the addition of a PTFE silky like covering.  Visit the company's website for more information or visit your favorite retailer online for purchasing information.
