How polyester tennis string generates topspin and its benefits for pro players

I came across this article in the Atlantic magazine regarding polyester tennis string and how it generates spin, the study shows slow motion 5 minute video. http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2011/01/the-new-physics-of-tennis/8339/
In my stringing experience I have found several great stringing combinations to add spin and usually the combination includes a topspin or rough string or a very thin gauge string. After reading this article the idea of polyester and its ability to create topspin by the strings moving and returning to its original form generates some more questions for me and I think any stringer could benefit from reading this article and viewing the short video. I will experiment with more poly combinations as well. Please let me know if you found this article useful. I always try to find the latest news and will post it here.
