August 30 kicks off the regular field of professional tennis players at Flushing Meadows. Although this is the first day of action for the regular mens and ladies draw, the tournament starts much earlier. Racket stringers start much sooner especially the onsite stringing team. When its all said and done, the US Open racket stringers string nearly 3600 rackets in about a 3 1/2 week period. Racket stringing is no small feat and demands precision and stamina. Stay tuned while I take a closer look from my experiences and try to answer some tough stringing questions. Please email your questions?
